Getting enough sleep every night is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves. Having a cup of tea that will give us better sleep quality is the perfect end to the day.

Making my own bedtime tea blends was one of my New Year’s resolutions. I love combining herbs, spices, and tea leaves to make tea for every mood.

One of my popular posts is Cozy Hygge Bedtime Rituals to Try Tonight. I believe in changing our routines into ones that nourish us so we have the energy to face our daily challenges.

Creating herbal tea blends is a fun hobby that will pay off immensely.

You can grow herbs at home to make your tea. My article on How to Grow a Tea Garden explains this.

This recipe combines USDA organic tea ingredients that help you get a good night’s sleep. Herbal tea recipes use medicinal herbs that have calming effects and are natural sleep aids.

When is the best time to drink bedtime tea?

Drink your cup of bedtime tea at least an hour before bed.

If you would rather buy your ingredients in bulk, it will save you a lot of money over time. I combine both growing herbs at home and buying them in larger quantities. Look for organic herbs because no one needs any additional pesticides in our bodies.

Tea has been the world’s favorite drink for over 4,000 years, and that’s quite the testimony. Herbal teas are loaded with micronutrients that offer health benefits with every sip.

While browsing the All-Natural Herbal Remedies booklet, I found this recipe for one of the best bedtime teas. The combination of loose-leaf tea ingredients makes this one of the best teas to use as a sleep aid for sweet dreams.

Making tea with herbal ingredients is a great way to create a calming routine for both your body and mind.

If you frequently get up at night to use the restroom, consider drinking your tea about an hour before bedtime.

Passionflower

The passion flower is a climbing vine with flowers that are used to make tea. It has a subtle earthy taste – when mixed with chamomile and lemon balm, the taste is barely noticeable.

You can buy dried herbs in bulk. It will seem expensive to start, but a pound of each dried herb will make a lot of tea! Passionflower tea is an excellent start to this recipe.

Dried Passionflower can be found here on Amazon.

Chamomile

We all know chamomile tea is a natural sedative, but did you know it also helps relieve stress? Its calming effect is needed for a good night’s sleep in today’s busy world. It also boosts immunity, eases cold symptoms, reduces inflammation, and soothes stomach aches.

Chamomile flowers are gorgeous, so they add loveliness to any tea garden. You use the fresh or dried flowers to make your tea.

The flowers have a slightly fruity taste. You can find organic dried chamomile flowers here on Amazon.

Lemon Balm

Lemon balm helps with both insomnia and anxiety. Both are bedtime tea benefits that will make you a happy camper.

Part of the mint family, lemon balm looks like mint but smells and tastes like lemons.

You can find organic dried lemon balm here on Amazon.
