Ingredients for Tzatziki Sauce
14 ounces Greek yogurt (2 7-ounce Greek yogurt containers)
1/4 cup sour cream
1 English cucumber, seeds and unpeeled
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, minced
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper, freshly ground
Directions for Making Tzatziki Sauce
- Add the Greek yogurt, sour cream, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, fresh dill, garlic, salt, and pepper to a medium-sized bowl. Stir until blended.
- Grate the English cucumber on a box grater. Squeeze the grated cucumber with your fingers to remove some of the liquid.
- Fold the grated English cucumber into the yogurt mixture and stir until blended. Serve cold.

- You can substitute one teaspoon of dried dill for fresh dill in this recipe.
- For the best results for this recipe, use a good quality organic yogurt.
- If you prefer a thinner mixture, substitute regular plain yogurt for Greek yogurt.
- Be sure not to skip squeezing the grated cucumber because it can water down your tzatziki if you skip this step.
- You can substitute a regular cucumber for an English cucumber. Just make sure to remove all the seeds.
How long does tzatziki sauce keep in the refrigerator?
Leftover tzatziki sauce will last approximately 3-5 days in the refrigerator when stored in an airtight container.
Can you freeze tzatziki sauce?
