Best Hygge Movies to Watch for a Cozy Night will inspire you to get comfortable and get lost in an excellent movie that leaves you feeling good about life.
“We love films because they make us feel something. They speak to our desires, which are never small. They allow us to escape and to dream and to gaze into the eyes that are impossibly beautiful and huge. They fill us with longing. But also. They tell us to remember; they remind us of life. Remember, they say, how much it hurts to have your heartbroken.” ―
One of the frequent questions in the cozy living group is “What are your favorite hygge movies?” Everyone has an opinion on the matter. The list was long.

If you’re one of the few people that hasn’t seen Bridget Jone’s Diary, you are in for a treat. Most likely, you’ve already seen these hygge movies. If it’s been awhile it’s time to watch it again.

There are a lot of hygge moments that happen in this film.
Eat, Pray, Love.
This hygge movie is based on the worldwide bestseller memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert. Julia Roberts plays a woman who’s lost in her life, and she goes on a journey to three different countries for a year to find herself.

Hope Floats.
I recently watched this movie again. It’s one of those movies you never get tired of and can watch over and over again.
This movie is about a woman who thought she had it all, and everything changed in an instant. Birdie was the toast of her small Texas town when she left with the star football player to live the dream life.
When Birdie’s life falls apart, she returns to that small town with her spirit broken. Gena Rowlands plays Birdie’s mother, and I could watch her character all day long.
Add Harry Connick, Jr. as Birdie’s new love interest, and you have a recipe for the perfect movie.
Holiday (The)
The Holiday is also one of my favorite movies ever. It’s the story of two women to exchange homes over Christmas. It stars Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet.
