Today I went on a garden tour. It turned out to be a magical adventure. One of the gardens I went to was on five acres of forest that the couple added a pathway and sprinkled art along the way.  It was a Magical Forest Garden.

“It would seem from this fact, that man is naturally a wild animal, and that when taken from the woods, he is never happy in his natural state, ’till he returns to them again.” – Benjamin Rush

What made the garden so magical was that they let Mother Nature show off her glory. It’s amazing what a walk through such a serene environment can do for the soul. At the other gardens, people were loud and chatting away. Through this garden, it was a hushed environment…even though there were the same amount of people. I think that everyone knew that they were dipping their toes into enchantment and they wanted to soak up every drop.

Thank you so much for the comment Sheryl. It was magical. Every garden that I went to everyone was so chatty. This one was just silence. I think everyone was in awe. Sometimes we forget that nature is just amazing. It was so wonderful to see a couple that knew that.

This “walk” gave me a sense of calm as I could almost smell the damp earth, pine and moss along the path!
And was a nice respite from the cold winter here in Virginia right now. Thanks for sharing nature …

Hi Noreen! Thank you so much for the comment! I love open spaces too. I’ve never understood why people love lawns instead of natural settings! Thanks again, Kelly
