Spa Secret: Homemade Spirulina Face Mask

Spa Secret: Homemade Spirulina Face Mask will give your face a nourishing treat it deserves. Why spend your hard-earned money at a spa, when you can make the treatments in the comfort of your own home for just a few pennies?

“When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life.” – Jean Shinoda Bolen

A friend of mine worked at an expensive spa, and this was their secret recipe.

With the hustle and bustle of life, we forget to take care of ourselves. These three simple ingredients mixed together will make your skin feel refreshed.

Recipe for Spa Secret: Homemade Spirulina Face Mask:

1 ripe banana
1 teaspoon spirulina powder
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

1) Mash the banana with a fork.
2) Whisk in the lemon juice.
3) Add the spirulina powder and whisk again.
4) Apply to your face and leave on for 20 minutes.
5) Rinse with warm water and towel dry.

Why these ingredients nourish your face:

Banana – The potassium in bananas moisturizes and hydrates your skin. B-vitamins help protects against free radicals. Its Vitamin E helps protect skin from UV damage.

Spirulina – This blue-green algae is chock full of phytonutrients and carotenoids, that are important antioxidants. It improves elasticity in the skin and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.

Lemon Juice – lemons are full of Vitamin C and antioxidants. The juice helps prevents oily skin and acne. It also helps even your skin tone and fades spots.

Not all spirulina products are created equal because spirulina absorbs toxins easily. Make sure you get one like this, that is grown in a BioSecure zone free from pollution.
