The Most Magical Fairy Christmas Tree invites you to peek into a magical world for a moment. Christmas is the time of year when everything in life is dusted with a bit more sparkle.
“Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the disheveled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.”
~William Butler Yeats, “The Land of Heart’s Desire,” 1894
Part of the enchantment of Christmas is its ability to transport us back in time to our wonder of our childhoods. We use toys and presents to decorate our homes. Cookies and pies come fresh from our ovens and our mouths water like they did when we were young.
If all of this magic dust wasn’t enough, then you come across a fairy tree like I did at a Festival of Trees event in Burlington, WA.
Chatter was heard throughout the building until they got to this tree. There was a hush because everyone’s eyes were taking in all the details and beauty this display brought forth.
I love that the designers added a transformed birdbath and fairy garden to also feast our eyes on. It shows that you don’t have to stop at your tree on your display. You can add unusual elements to continue the vision.
Here’s The Most Magical Fairy Christmas Tree:
1) The tree.
Take it all in. The twinkling lights, the fairies dancing among the branches, and fairy wings peeking out from the branches.
2) Winged elegance.
Using sparkling wings as a tree topper was a genius way to create delicate grace from the top down. Adding contrasting flowers behind the wings so off the wings more than if they were by themselves.
3) Mesh garland.
Multi-colored pastel mesh garland is the perfect way to accent the tree. (It helps that it sparkles too!)
4) Delicate flowers.
I love how they tucked faux flowers among the flowers for a sweet surprise.
5) Green ornaments.
They picked green ornament balls to use to reflect nature. If you look close, you will see different types of ornaments used: glitter, satin, and high sheen. They also added dark purple ornaments. The two colors worked well together by adding elegance, yet not demanding attention.
Of course, what would a fairy Christmas tree be without fairies frolicking throughout the theme?
Fairies and butterflies are like two peas in a pod. Glittery butterflies are even better.
8) Fairy Gathering.
At the base of the tree, the designers added a group of larger fairies along with storybooks.
9) Birdbath & Planter villages.
Transforming a birdbath and planter into bustling fairy villages is the perfect way to add more design elements to the tree.
We’ve reached the end of the Most Magical Fairy Christmas tree.

Here are some items I found on Amazon so you can create your own fairy tree at home:
Seriously, can it get any cuter than these acorn lights?
Wooden fairy cutouts.
I love the delicate simplicity of these ornaments:
Beautiful glittery butterflies just waiting for a tree to land on.
This sweet birdbath complete with frogs would make an adorable fairy village.
These beautiful purple fairy wings are beautiful enough to top any tree.
