Rice is such a wonderful food to add to your diet. Don’t you wish you knew how to cook perfect rice that you find in restaurants? I finally learned how by asking someone who owned a gourmet restaurant her secrets. She told me it only takes two simple steps to make your rice go from good to great.
“Personally, I enjoy a bowl of brown rice for breakfast most of the time.” Kathy Freston
Here are the two secrets How to Cook Perfect Rice:
1) Rinse the rice really well. Sometimes it takes five tries to clean the rice. You want to put your rice in a bowl of water and turn the rice over and over. Drain the rice and then rinse and repeat four more times. The reason this works is you are removing the surface starch. When you finally rinse your rice and the water is clear, that’s when you know you are done. You don’t have to waste the milky water. Use it to rinse your face with or water your houseplants.
2) Soak for 30 minutes. When you soak your rice, it ends up having a better texture. Simple right?

You can finally get rid of all of those other appliances and just have one for everything. The great thing about this Instant Pot is the Pressure Cooker part. I’ve always be a bit afraid of Pressure Cookers because of the noise and the fear of it exploding. Now I don’t have to worry. The 7-in-1 Instant Pot Pressure Cooking feature put my mind at ease.
